| Black Belt Testing and stuff |
[May. 8th, 2007|10:27 am] |
It turned out it wasn't until May... about 4 days until the testing... actually 23 hours and 32 minutes but I'll be at the testing early to fill out some paperwork and make sure I'm ready in lots of time...
My birthday was yesterday, wasn't that enjoyable, like usual they did nothing special at work... they used to back when we had a different District Manager. But I did have fun on Fan Forum. Pav gave me permission to edit her posts on the Requests board... made things very entertaining. I might go make some tomato soup soon as I'll be playing Dungeons & Dragons with some co-workers/former co-workers tonight, like I have been every Tues for awhile.
I already paid for my new black belt uniform/belt. It'll be nice to get the testing over with. I got someone from TKD to take a picture of me last night with my Deputy Black belt on for I'll have at least one pic of me with that belt before I test for another belt. Though my uniform probably won't be in until late June. Someone might be taping the testing, though that's not definite, my instructor is going to try and make it but he teaches that day (for the RCMP) and he doesn't know if he'll be abl to get out of it even for a few hours.
I should also mention that I've made 3 music videos this year, was working on an Instant Star one but with the deadline for the Music Video Awards approaching on the same day as my testing I doubt I'll finish it... even if I do have this week off from work... first week I've taken in the nearly 5 years that I've worked there...
Link/Zelda Music Video Krang (TMNT) Music Video Cold Squad Music Video
Of course by the time I finished typing this my testing is actually 23 hours 24 minutes away... |

[Feb. 3rd, 2007|02:11 am] |
Black belt testing most likely sometime in April. I'll have to start studying the book a bit before that again, I still know the stuff If I think hard enough but a good refresh er never hurts.
Got back into playing Ragnarok again recently, though it's just not the same without other people to play with, though I'm working on getting a few people from work to play as well.
I still have so many games that I haven't played that I bought ages ago, though I admit I've been playing Mario Kart DS a lot since I bought it, since it's easy to play multiplayer... someone at work has it and someone else from work is probably going to get it for we can have 3 way races.
I wish CTV would start airing Instant Star again... I think Season 3 will be airing soon in the states and CTV is I don't think is even half way through Season 2, if they are it's just barely...
But yeah, I've posted a lot of Nintendo videos on youtube in the last few months, less since I started playing computer games admittedly, using FRAPS gets good quality when recording, however when it's converted down to a smaller file size it looks like garbage. |

| Good deals today; Tae Kwon Do |
[Nov. 11th, 2006|12:36 am] |
Well there was no tax for 3 hours tonight at the grocery store (which also carries electronics, games, etc) anyway there was more people there then I've ever seen in that building, but anyway I bought a lot of movies today and another Gamecube game (Mario Golf Toadstool Tour) I don't know when I'm going to play it though as I still have other games I need to play, though I've been spending a lot of my time lately [as far as games go] doing glitches on my Zelda games.
I also passed my Deputy Black belt testing on Thursday night. I'll probably test for my Black Belt sometime next year. |

| Still counting |
[Oct. 21st, 2006|10:48 am] |
So I'm getting close to being done counting my Zaks. Had to go to sleep before I was done last night since it was taking awhile. Turns out I got a lot more than that 330 set that I seen on ebay. If they shipped to Canada I probably would have bid on it though.
Nikita Season 5 is on DVD now, didn't think that would ever happen. But I'm glad that it is on DVD now, Season 5 wasn't the best season but it had something about it that I enjoyed. |

| | Train - Meet Virginia | ] | Seen someone call 330 Zaks a lot on an ebay auction I seen recently, so I'm going through my Zaks and scanning them right now with my scanner and counting how many of each I have, it's pretty easy to do since I still have them seperated from the last time I counted them... [probably over 5 years ago] So it's easier than if they were all mixed together, though now that I think of it I have a couple stray triangle Zaks that I need to count as it's an object that I left together since they can be somewhat hard to build, probably not so much now than what it used to be when I was building. I used to play with these all the time. |

| Ah, Sunday |
[Oct. 8th, 2006|04:03 pm] |
|
Got off work early today. I don't mind that since I wasn't scheduled to work Sunday to begin with, now I can do a bit more TV catching up or something. Picked up my favourite juice - Pineapple Juice today since the stores will be closed tomorrow for Thanksgiving. Which also means I'll have to wait until at least Tuesday to be able to find out if the bike shops around here carry any chain guards. |

| Monday, Aug 21 |
[Aug. 21st, 2006|04:54 pm] |
I'm a little tired after work, will probably be watching "So Weird" in French in about 5 minutes, nothing much else other than Dark Oracle on tonight, might get around to watching Summerslam before Dark Oracle though, nothing planned to do anything today though. Found out we'll be getting a new General Manager next week, it's someone who is currently a GM at a different store location and she has worked here as Assistant Manager quite awhile ago, so that will be different.
Anyways, gonna get ready to watch some French. |

| Long Weekend |
[Aug. 18th, 2006|02:16 pm] |
So I ended up booking today off from work giving me a three day weekend... I needed the extra time off even if it's just a day. I could have easily booked more off since it's still the Summer time and the part time staff haven't gone back to school yet since it doesn't start until September.
Started watching Life With Derek for the first time last week, spent most of today posting on Fan Forum and playing Metroid Prime, have boughten a lot of Gamecube games within the last year a lot of which I still haven't even gotten around to playing yet, though I've done tonnes of animations from the games. I might as well post them all here as well since I don't think I had many made the last couple times I did updates to my LJ.
I'll just put the Game animations.

| TMNT Original Series Volume 4 DVD and such |
[Apr. 12th, 2006|05:15 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | blah | ] | I have boughten Volume 2 and 3 on ebay since they can't seem to be found at any of the stores in my area, the auction for Volume 4 will be over shortly and by the looks of the auction it looks like I'll hopefully be winning the auction for it, having Paypal set up makes it that much easier to pay for things. Though my favourite episodes of the series probably won't come until Volume 5, as my favourite episode would probably have to be the Season 3 finale.
I suppose with Fan Forum down I post my interesting stuff here instead of on Fan Forum, hopefully we don't have to restore to the data from June 2005, loosing that much would suck.
I suppose I'll go watch some more "House" now, it won't be long and I'll be completely caught up with that show. |

| | Hilary Duff - The Getaway | ] | Yeah, this past 5 days or so has been somewhat boring, moreso over Thurs-Sun with the lack of Fan Forum. The funny thing is I booked a 4 day weekend off to take a break from work, during that timeframe I was thinking I'd be able to post on Fan Forum, but it has been down since Thursday afternoon, though I have watched all Season 1 of House and 2 episodes of Season 2 during this timeframe as I didn't quite frankly have anything better to do.
Though, it's been awhile since I did my last update, back in late January, basically might as well say in February I went back to Tae Kwon Do, the last time I was there would have probably been late 2000 or sometime in 2001, anyway I went back in Jan 2006 and this coming Thursday I will be testing for my brown belt which is two before black. I imagine it'll be a long time before I test for black, at least it had better be as I'll need quite awhile to revamp on everything I had learned in the past as all that and more comes into play in the black belt testing.
Now, I'm thinking I'll probably end up watching more House until around the time I head to sleep, either that or I'll try to get my episode of Cold Squad in that I recorded while I wasn't home. I had to bike to a different city just to get a White Easter Bunny as nowhere in town sells them... they sell normal Chocolate Easter Bunnies but not my favourite brand... They almost seem to be extinct, it's quite sad, I'd comically say they are racist against the White Easter Bunnies (at work in the staff room or on MSN lol), but the truth is they probably don't sell well enough for them to be kept in the stores, but you'd figure that they at least order them in small amounts or something for the people who don't like them... Oh well, I got my bunny now so I'll shut up. |

| Just thought I'd make at least one entry this year |
[Aug. 8th, 2005|08:55 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | happy | ] | Been doing a lot this year, got back into Ragnarok for awhile, though my addiction to that is much lesser now than it was a few months ago. I've been encoding my own music videos mainly off CMT, though some of them are off Much Music and MuchMoreMusic.
Got a new bike this past Sunday after both of my other bikes broke down this year, though my oldest bike may be fixable, just have to see if it's worth fixing it or buying a second bike just for the winter time as I don't want to drive the better bike during the Winter, the salt is quite hard on it.
Been watching Cold Squad a lot lately on Showcase and CTV, collecting those episodes as well, it's actually about to come on, so yeah going to watch that. :) |

| I got a new DVD - TMNT Season 1 Original Series |
[May. 2nd, 2004|12:16 am] |
| [ | mood |
| | happy | ] | I bought Season 1 of the Original Series, it has four bonus episodes on it, with "never seen bonus episodes" but I recognize the name of the episodes, so I am pretty sure I have seen them. They're from Season 10. Season 1 of Ninja Turtles only has 5 episodes which is the smallest amount of all the seasons, the largest season has 47 episodes.
I had to check three stores to find this on DVD. Wal-mart had the VHS copy only, I asked them if they had it on DVD and they said that they didn't. I then went back to Future Shop after buying blank CDs there earlier and looked more closely for it, but alas it wasn't there either. I was thinking about going home without it, but I made a slight detour from the path home and went to another mall to "Music World" store and sure enough there was 1 copy of the DVD there. I grabbed it quickly. I already watched a few episodes from it. It feels good to have them on DVD. It's my favourite cartoon after all. It's too bad they don't make new episodes of it, I seen the new series DVD boxes but they don't interest me, Shredder looks a lot different and the series doesn't have Krang (since he isn't in the comics) and the technodrome, without these elements I have no interest, especially since Krang is number #1.
Add to: After watching the extra episodes I didn't remember them, they weren't too bad considering Shredder and Krang weren't in them. |

| So Here We are Again |
[Feb. 15th, 2004|11:45 am] |
I'm back for another entry.. Had a lot of computer issues as of late. I had a bunch of folders in my ftproot on my computer that I couldn't delete. I left them on there for awhile. After awhile though my 20 GB hard drive stopped booting Windows 2000, so I had to install it on the 80. I moved everything I could off the 20 and formatted it and reinstalled windows 2000. Then I did the same thing for the 80 GB hard drive moved everything off it onto the 20. But then I accidently formatted the wrong drive and lost everything on my computer including my digital camera pictures, nintendo records, and star trek request threads that I had restored.
But I am back in action again after suffering that loss, I have less on the computer now and I have the 80 GB hard drive partitioned into 4 drives so if something happens on the drives in the future it will be much easier to format just one section of the 80 rather than the whole thing. |

| Nerds |
[Dec. 28th, 2003|09:38 am] |
|
So one of the treats I got from my sister was one of them boxes of nerds. Not something I buy but I enjoy them, now what I want to know is since when they made them like a fortress to get into there used to be two little easy to open tabs on both sides, now you have to open a middle tab, and push the other two tabs out which basically you have to force out. They really need to go back to their old ways, I didn't like breaking into my nerds. It felt so wrong. *nono* |

[Dec. 22nd, 2003|09:35 pm] |
So I started modifying some stuff today. They are shown at the bottom of this entry.
Anyway, I got my Zelda: Majora's Mask today. I had ordered it almost a month ago off ebay. It got here promptly though as I had sent a cheque and expected not to get it until after Christmas as it takes some time to clear cheques. I was very happy to get it, though I was so busy doing the stuff below I've yet to try it.
Anyway, I better finish this off, must get ready to watch wrestling so I must make Kool-Aid ;)

| Been awhile since my last update... |
[Dec. 12th, 2003|09:31 pm] |
I've been busy the last week or so, I bought Double Dash last Saturday, I played it Saturday, Sunday, and then on Thursday. I've been primarily involved in Fan Forum's updating the submitted avatars for Fan Forum, which is fairly time consuming considering having to write some HTML. Granted I've done way more advanced HTML back in the day, but this didn't need to be advanced.
I have a staff party coming up on Sunday, I have to be at work from 4-4:30 to catch a ride to the party, which is presumably from 5 to 9 pm. They will be having Chinese and Pizza like last year, so it should be good.
Survivor was good last night, I'm glad to see Burton was voted off again, my only hope is that Jon doesn't get immunity on the next one and is voted off. I can see some even more POed people when the reunion rolls around for Jon lying about his grandmother's death.
I got my SNES game genie on ebay and left feedback to the wrong user. Kind of funny, I sent a PM to the guy explaining what happened in case he goes WT* when he sees it.
We got hit pretty hard on Monday with snow. I spent a lot of the day out shovelling and we weren't very busy. On Tuesday the grease bucket was getting pretty full so I had to shovel out our area for the grease buckets, I'd say there was at least 2 feet of snow in there.
Anyway, that's pretty much all that's new this week that I can think of right now. |

| Mario Kart Double Dash!! |
[Dec. 6th, 2003|08:41 pm] |
|
So I called Future Shop today and they were sold out of Double Dash, my mom had told me they were on for $59.99 there. So anyway, I called Wal-mart and they told me they still had some left but couldn't say how many, I assume they couldn't leave to check. I put on two pairs of pants and a sweater over my T-shirt. I then put on my winter jacket, my hat, gloves, and scarf and proceeded to bike the 45 - 60 minute bikeride over to Wal-mart to pick the game up. FutureShop is in the same mall so I picked up a flyer there took it to Wal-mart and got the game there for $59.99 instead of the regular $67.83. It was the last one on the shelves as well. I'm glad I got there before someone else got it as the bike ride would of been for nothing. After that I updated my bankbook and biked back home. It took about an hour and 50 minutes altogether. Snow storms are supposed to start overnight so it may be awhile til I bike around again like that. |

| My thumbs hurt |
[Dec. 5th, 2003|11:41 pm] |
After a long and enduring 3 or 4 hours of playing Super Mario Kart, I have succeeded in two things:
1) My thumbs are now aching in slight discomfort 2) I have beaten my July 1999 record for Donut Plains 1
To view my complete records for this game visit here. Donut Plains 1 is the second track on the chart.
I plan on making a section with yearly records on it at the end of the years to compile all my records for that year. I've done it before, but on paper, I love doing this on my computer, it's so much easier. :) |

| I finally figured it out... |
[Dec. 3rd, 2003|08:37 pm] |
I probably could of figured it out earlier if I was driven more to do so, since I have my own internet server on my own computer and such. But I figured out how to use my ISP webspace after all this time. Though I need an ftp client to do so, so I had to get one and I did. I uploaded a few images, X-Files avatars for starters. Then I uploaded a scan I did of one of my NES games. I've yet to see it on ebay which I find it quite strange.
Anyway, here is that picture.
